One definition for photographic composition is simple: the pleasing selection and arrangement of subjects within the picture area. In general, good pictures result from careful attention to some basic elements of composition, together with appropriate lighting and an interesting subject. Become familiar with the practical applications of the key elements of composition to improve your photography: point of interest, simplicity, contrast, balance, framing, viewpoint, direction of movement, diagonals, rule of thirds. Prerequisite: None.
