"Hike a little, sketch a little" is the motto for this outdoor art class. On each of two all-day field trips, we hike about 3-4 miles during the day with frequent stops to explore various ways of outdoor sketching. The first hike we do more rapid 10 minute sketches. The second hike we take a bit more time for color sketches. In an evening class prior to the hikes we discuss and practice convenient sketching mediums and techniques. Both beginning and experienced artists welcome. Hike locations will be discussed at the evening class. Note: A materials fee of $17 for a set of B&W supplies is payable to the instructor at the first class meeting.
