Online courses are now standard learning environments, so it’s important that you know how to develop them. This class focuses on building online course components that maximize content comprehension in an online environment. You’ll study how to incorporate activities and other course content that encourages interaction and enhances student engagement. You’ll also build your knowledge of common course development activities, including discussion sessions, uploading assignments, adding video and other media, and developing assessments. Notes: This is a hybrid course.  This class will meet face-to-face for the first class session only. This face-to-face class session will give the students an introduction to the Moodle platform and how to access their course shells. The class is a total of 18 hours, with 3 hours face-to-face, 12 hours working independently online and 3 hours with a one-on-one session with the instructor to focus on technical support. The one-on-one is arranged between the student and instructor.
