« back to classes page
Her parents were avid musicians and composers. In fact, Henry VIII is perhaps the most musical monarch in history until HRH Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria. Despite a tragic childhood, Elizabeth loved to play musical instruments, sing and dance before – and after – she became queen. Her reign brought years of peace to the British Empire during which time the arts flourished under her steadfast patronage. This class will introduce you to the music of her parents, Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII, and to the musical world of their famous daughter, Queen Elizabeth I.
