« back to classes page
The art of the optimal means getting things just right for a healthful homeostasis in which an organism or a system of any kind functions at its peak performance.  This is in contrast to what seems to be the prevailing idea in our Western culture:  if a little is good, then a lot is better - whether that is  food, money or pain killing opioids.  This class will explore the concepts of too  little, too much, enough and just right as we discuss ways to the art of the optimal. Like Goldilocks, we must examine the house of the three bears and try out all the chairs, beds and porridge until we find the one that suits us best.
