Join UNM CE at Casa San Ysidro and learn time tested skills rooted in our Spanish Heritage. While the skills are old, the principles may be applied to projects of traditional elegance, or contemporary chic. You will learn how to clean historic sheep breed fiber, prepare it for spinning, spin it on a spindle, and weave it on a vertical loom.  In this hands on workshop you will learn how to weave on a basic loom as well as the history of fiber arts in New Mexico. This workshop is designed for both the student who is a complete beginner and for those weavers who wish to refresh their skills.
