Learn the basics of how to give your sketches and paintings the illusion of depth and 3-D space on a flat surface in real life settings. We will practice the basic guidelines of perspective in a variety of outdoor and indoor locations for architectural and atmospheric perspective. This class will focus on a variety of techniques using watercolor paints, pencils, and pen & ink. You will learn about vanishing points, s-curves, horizons, elevations, angles, shading, and how to analyze perspective in photos. Each week we will meet in a different place. First class meets at: The gazebo in Old Town Plaza, Old Town, Albuquerque. Materials list available at ce.unm.edu.
