« back to classes page
Do you sometimes wonder if we will ever get along?  By developing awareness of our own and other people’s perspectives without necessarily trying to change them, this workshop guides participants to an understanding of our deep cultural divides through a synthesis of five worldviews—indigenous, modern, fundamentalist, globalized and transformative—and six moral foundations—care/harm, fairness/cheating, loyalty/betrayal, sanctity/degradation, authority/subversion, and liberty/oppression. With greater awareness we may be able to civilly talk about our differences and improve relations with people who are similar to and different from us through uncovering shared values and bridging divides. Suggested text: Five Worldviews; $9.95, available the first class.
