When writers read, they look beneath the text to what was not said. They examine choices the writer made, the problems solved and not solved. Readers who write increase their appreciation of the text; they read with greater interest, understanding and enjoyment. In this class, members will read and analyze literature from a writer's point of view and will experiment with writing exercises to solidify learning and enhance creative expression. We will explore a variety of genres, including fiction, creative non-fiction and poetry. For writers, aspiring writers and other curious souls.
Note: This is a recurring class; a new set of readings will be studied each time the class is offered.
