This lecture series introduces students to the unique works of the Venetial Republc of the 15th and 16th centures. As the maritime crossroads between East and West, the wealthy Venetian Republic was diverse in its culture, people, art, and architecture. These four courses will acquaint students with the art and architecture for the upcoming OLLI Venetian trip in March.

This first course will provide the historical and architectural background of this beautiful and fascinating city-state.
