Course number : 02232   ID : 90387    Class Section : Fall 1
« back to classes page
When combined with the democracy and infinite application of abstraction you have a working method that can be everything and nothing, or something in-between, depending on the perspective.  Utilizing various exercises that rely on process, or memory/experience, or art history, or nature, combined or singular, the student will explore the potential of works on paper.  Line, form, color/value and surface will be the initial starting point to the creation of compositional strategies.  Informal critiques and discussions about contemporary art will be a consistent component of the class.  Everyone is welcome to this class as long as curiosity and a will to make is present.  Be a magician and make something from nothing.
